Lost Island Huston Park has been invaded! Come meet some animals or plants known as “invasive” to Palo Alto County. All hikes begin at the south picnic shelter in the park and guides will take you on the trails to meet these critters. Sign up for a timeslot, beginning at 6:30 pm with the last hike leaving at 8 pm. Hikes depart every 10 minutes with groups of 20 hikers. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Hikes last about 45 minutes with treats to follow in the Lost Island Nature Center basement. Make your reservations by calling the County Conservation Board at 712-837-4866.
